Motor Coach Operator Job Description

A Motor Coach Operator is the face of Coast to Coast Tours LLC. Each member of our team stands for excellent customer service, dependability, and professionalism. As a Motor Coach Operator for Coast to Coast Tours you will always be the first person our clients will see so professional dress and behavior is required. You must communicate effectively with our customers. Your schedule must be flexible because our clients will make request of your services any day of the week and at any hour of the day. You must be able to be away from home overnight because there will be clients that request transportation outside of the Atlanta area. You must have some computer skills, we use an ELD system and jobs are dispatched using a special website. You must be able to complete detailed records and follow instructions.

Minimum Qualifications

• At least 25 years of age
• A valid commercial driver’s license, Class B with passenger endorsement
• Minimum of three (5) years driving experience (commercial or private)
• Positive work history
• Good personality
• Pass a pre-employment drug screen.
• Pass a background check.
• Pass a pre-employment physical

Primary Job Responsibilities

Motor Coach Operator responsibilities are as follows:

• Drives the motor coach safely
• Arrives at pickup location at assigned times
• Drives to the point of destination in a safe manner according to the schedule
• Adheres to traffic laws and DOT regulations
• Follows proper procedures when arriving at a location
• Maintains awareness of driving conditions
• Conducts a comprehensive pre-trip inspection and post-trip inspection of the motor coach
• Inspects the inside and outside of the motor coach to documents mechanical malfunctions
• Provide positive customer service to passengers, act in a friendly and courteous manner and follow correct routes.
